Bou4.jpgHervé's herd is above all impressively large (100 animals in 100 hectares) .

Bou5.JPGThe herd comprises Limousines and Blondes d'Aquitaine, famous for their longevity, their docile nature and their maternal qualities. They are beef cattle, cows and heifers.

They spend their time grazing on natural pastureland, fed organically and without medicinal supplements.  Their breeding is all documented and traceable.

The calves are reared on their mothers'milk and then on seasonal grasses and hay which confers to the meat its pink colour wich suits well with the Bergerac wine.

The animals are born and raised at Bergerac, butchered locally and hung for 10-15 days, then vacuum-packed.

All this happens within a radius of 3 kms so guaranteeing that the meat is very fresh and environmentally friendly.
